Lịch trình chi tiết
Departure: HA NOI - SAPA, LAO CAI
The journey starts at 20 Pham Hung - My Đinh Bus Station.
For customers coming from other locations, To Ong will pick you up at Noi Bai Airport, Hanoi. Please book a flight that arrives at the airport before 10:00 PM.
To Ong will send the pickup details and specific timing via email three days before departure time (if there are any changes).
Day 1: SAPA - SANG MA SAO - MUOI MOUNTAIN
5:00 AM: The group arrives in downtown Sapa. Prepare belongings and then head to the breakfast location.
7:00 AM: Take a shuttle to the mountain base - Sang Ma Sao Village
9:00 AM: Arrive at the meeting point, then take a 3km motorbike ride to the trail starting point (15 mins)
9:30 AM: Safety briefing and meet friendly local guides. Drop off belongings with the porter (maximum 3kg), arrange logistics, and begin the trek amidst the breathtaking terraced fields of the Hmong people.
11:30 AM: Lunch break and rest by a forest stream.
5:00 PM: Arrive at Nui Muoi (Salt Mountain), where the group will stay overnight and have dinner at a local Hmong shelter.
Savor local dishes with a glass of specialty Tao Meo liqueur while listening to stories about the mountains and forests of the Northwest.
Day 2: MUOI MOUNTAIN - KY QUAN SAN PEAK
5:30 AM Wake up early together to admire the beauty of the sunrise on Núi Muối as the first rays of the new day begin to shine. (The schedule may change depending on the group members' physical condition; sunrise viewing may be on the morning of day 3).
6:00 AM Have breakfast and prepare your belongings.
7:00 AM Briefing on the itinerary and safety regulations. Warm-up to get ready for the journey to conquer the peak of Ky Quan San. The journey continues across the dinosaur's spine-like mountains and two peaks at 2,500m and 2,800m.
11:30 AM The group arrives at the peak of Ky Quan San. Time to check in and capture the triumphant moment of conquering one of Vietnam’s most stunning trekking routes - the 4th highest mountain in the country.
1:00 PM After having lunch at the summit, the group will head back to the shelter.
4:00 PM Arrive at the lodge, have dinner, and raise a toast to celebrate conquering the fourth highest peak in Vietnam.
Day 3: MUOI MOUNTAIN - SAPA
5:30 AM: Wake up and enjoy the sunrise once again at Nui Muoi.
7:00 AM The guide briefs the group on the itinerary and safety regulations. Warm-up session, then begin the descent toward the mountain base.
The return trail follows the same route, surrounded by diverse primary forest vegetation and refreshing streams along the way.
12:30 The group arrives back at the mountain base, where motorbike taxis pick everyone up for a 3 km ride to the rendezvous point at a local family’s home to freshen up and rest.
13:00 Lunch with local dishes lovingly prepared by the H’Mong hosts.
14:00 The shuttle picks up the group for the transfer back to Sapa.
17:00 Arrival in Sapa. Enjoy a hot bath to improve blood circulation, speed up muscle recovery, and help the body relax.
6:30 PM: Head to a local restaurant to enjoy a regional specialty – Sturgeon Hotpot. Savor the fresh fish, sip on local corn wine, and share stories about the journey.
8:30 PM: Free time to explore Sapa Night Market, admire unique handcrafted products, and buy souvenirs for the trip.
10:30 PM: Board the sleeper bus back to Hanoi, bidding farewell to "the city in the mist – Sapa." Expected arrival in Hanoi at 5:00 AM the next morning. End of the Ky Quan San adventure.

How many participants are there in each group?
For the Ky Quan San trekking tour, each To Ong Adventure group consists of 16 members, with a support ratio of 1:2. This means that for every 16 participants, there will be at least 8 support staff from To Ong Adventure.
Can I join the Ky Quan San trekking tour if I am traveling alone?
Yes! Even if you are traveling alone, you can still join To Ong Adventure's trekking routes. We organize group tours with a maximum of 16 members every weekend, allowing you to connect with new friends and enjoy an exciting journey together.
Is there phone signal or electricity along the route?
There is no phone signal along the Ky Quan San trekking route. We recommend that you arrange your work before the trip and enjoy a few days of disconnecting from technology in nature.
What are the restroom and hygiene facilities like during the trek?
Can I shorten the itinerary or explore on my own?
You are welcome to arrive in Sapa earlier or stay longer after the trek to explore the area at your own pace.
When is the best time to trek Ky Quan San?
The best time to trek Ky Quan San is from October to May. This period offers the best conditions for cloud hunting and conquering one of Vietnam’s four legendary peaks.
What are the health requirements for joining the trek?
Ky Quan San is classified as a trekking-level route by To Ong Adventure. Participants should have prior experience in walking or hiking and maintain regular physical training. If you are from Southern Vietnam and trekking in the Northwest for the first time, it is recommended to arrive one day early to acclimate to the Lao Cai climate.
