The journey starts at 20 Pham Hung - My Đinh Bus Station.

For customers coming from other locations, To Ong will pick you up at Noi Bai Airport, Hanoi. Please book a flight that arrives at the airport before 10:00 PM.

To Ong will send the pickup details and specific timing via email three days before departure time (if there are any changes).

DAY 1: SAPA – Y TY COMMUNE – THE CAMPSITE

Highlights::: Take in the beauty of terraced fields at the hillside – Enjoy Tao Meo Liqueur.

5:00 AM The group will arrive in the center of Sapa. Prepare your belongings and then move to the breakfast location.

7:00 AM A shuttle picks up the group and heads to the mountain base at Phìn Hồ Kindergarten.

9:00 AM Arrive at Y Ty commune, where breathtaking terraced fields stretch out at the base of the hills. The tour guide will review safety guidelines, and you'll meet the friendly local team. Personal belongings can be sent to the porters and logistics team as the journey begins.

11:30 AM Enjoy lunch and take a break along the way.

1:00 PM Heading up to the campsite takes you through grasslands and low forest slopes, offering spectacular views of clouds, sun, and wind blending into the stunning scenery.

5:00 PM Arrive at the campsite, rest, and prepare for dinner.

Savor local dishes paired with Táo Mèo liqueur, and enjoy stories of the Northwest mountains and forests.

Day 2: THE CAMPSITE - LAO THAN PEAK - SAPA

Distance::: 8 km, 6 hours of travel
Meals::: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Highlights:: Conquer Lao Than Peak – Enjoy Sturgeon Hotpot – Hot shower at the mountain base

5:00 AM Wake up and enjoy the sunrise with a cup of hot coffee or tea. Have breakfast and prepare your gear for conquering Lao Than Peak.

6:00 The guide briefs the itinerary and safety regulations. After a warm-up, the group begins the journey to conquer Lao Than Peak. The ascent starts with a steep mountain trail leading toward the summit.

7:00 AM Reach the summit of Lao Than at 2,860 meters, known as the "Roof of Y Ty." Celebrate your achievement with a memorable photo opportunity.

7:30 AM Descend the slopes to return to the lodge. Have breakfast, rest, and pack your belongings.

8:30 AM Leave the lodge and start the descent. The journey downhill is quicker, and by 12:00 PM, the group will reach the base of the mountain for lunch and a well-earned break.

12:00 PM Enjoy lunch at a local family's home.

1:15 PM Take a shuttle back to Sapa.

4:30 PM Arrival in Sapa. Enjoy a hot bath to improve blood circulation, speed up muscle recovery, and help the body relax.

6:30 PM Head to a local restaurant to savor a Northwest specialty, Sturgeon Hotpot. Raise a glass of wine and share stories of the journey.

8:30 PM Enjoy free time exploring the Sapa night market, where you can admire unique local products and pick up souvenirs.

10:30 PM Board the bus back to Hanoi, bidding farewell to the "City in the Clouds" – Sapa. Arrival in Hanoi is expected at 5:00 AM the next morning, marking the end of your journey conquering Lao Than Peak.

Guests are advised to choose flights departing from Nội Bài Airport after 6:30 AM.

CLOTHING: Lightweight, stretchable, breathable, quick-drying
BACKPACK: Compact, with a capacity of 20 - 40 liters
SHOES: Opt for shoes half to one size larger. Shoes with deep treads, good grip on mountain terrain, anti-slip, with ankle support to prevent injuries
WARM JACKET
SUN PROTECTION: Sunscreen, hat, sun gloves, mittens
PERSONAL ITEMS AND NECESSARY ELECTRONICS
MEDICATION: Rehydration tablets, electrolyte supplements, insect repellent

1. From April 2024, all participants will receive a CONQUEROR CARD upon completing the trek. Customers registering after Wednesday will not receive the Conqueror Card.
2. Routes located in border or island areas may have restrictions for foreign travelers. Please contact To Ong for assistance.

Can I join the Lao Than trekking tour if I am traveling alone?

Yes! Even if you are traveling alone, you can still join To Ong Adventure's trekking routes. We organize group tours with a maximum of 16 members every weekend, allowing you to connect with new friends and enjoy an exciting journey together.

How many participants are there in each group?

For the Lao Than trekking tour, each To Ong Adventure group consists of 16 members, with a support ratio of 1:2. This means that for every 16 participants, there will be at least 8 support staff from To Ong Adventure.

What are the health requirements for joining the trek?

Lao Than is classified as a trekking-level route by To Ong Adventure. Participants should have prior experience in walking or hiking and maintain regular physical training. If you are from Southern Vietnam and trekking in the Northwest for the first time, it is recommended to arrive one day early to acclimate to the Lao Cai climate.

When is the best time to trek Lao Than?

The best time to trek Lao Than is from October to May. This period offers the best conditions for cloud hunting and conquering one of Vietnam’s four legendary peaks.

What are the restroom and hygiene facilities like during the trek?

At each camping site, To Ong Adventure arranges temporary restroom facilities for the group. Our logistics team ensures that the area is properly cleaned after departure. Additionally, we follow responsible waste management practices by separating organic and inorganic waste throughout the journey.

Can I shorten the itinerary or explore on my own?

You are welcome to arrive in Sapa earlier or stay longer after the trek to explore the area at your own pace.

We recommend that you book your own flight to find the best deals and handle any airline-related issues directly.
